Brief about PM FME scheme

As part of Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), in partnership with the State/ UT Governments, has launched an all India Centrally Sponsored PM Formalisation of Micro food processing Enterprises Scheme (PM FME Scheme) with an outlay of Rs.10,000 crores to be implemented over a period of five years from 2020-21 to 2024-25. The scheme provides financial, technical and business support for upgradation of existing micro food processing enterprises. The scheme focusses on strengthening the micro food enterprises by adopting One District One Product (ODOP) approach for value chain development from procurement to marketing of products. The scheme focuses on supporting new enterprises and Common infrastructure created for the focused product as per ODOP approach.
